Legal matters are explained in plain language at every stage. We avoid unnecessary complexity and keep you informed throughout the process.

Thorough Documentation

Every document prepared under our supervision reflects careful attention to detail, reducing the likelihood of complications during and after proceedings.

Malaysian Legal Knowledge

Sensitivity to Circumstances

Legal matters often arise during difficult personal or professional transitions. We recognise this and conduct each engagement with appropriate care and discretion.

Structured Process Management

Each matter progresses through a defined sequence of steps with clear milestones, keeping timelines transparent and expectations well-managed.

Common questions

What should I gather before our first meeting?
Bringing relevant correspondence, identification documents, any existing contracts or agreements, and any notices or court orders you may have received will help us make the most of your initial consultation. If you are uncertain what applies to your situation, simply come as you are — we will guide you through what else might be needed.
How long does a family law matter typically take to resolve?
Timelines vary considerably depending on whether the matter is contested, the cooperation of all parties involved, and court scheduling. Straightforward uncontested matters may conclude within a few months. More complex disputes involving custody or asset division may take longer. We provide a realistic assessment of your particular situation at the outset.
What does the property conveyancing process involve?
Conveyancing covers the preparation and exchange of a sale and purchase agreement, title searches at the land office, stamp duty calculations and payment, coordination with financial institutions for loan documentation where applicable, and the eventual transfer of ownership. Standard conveyancing transactions typically take eight to twelve weeks to complete, though this may vary depending on the complexity of the title and the responsiveness of relevant authorities.
How does commercial arbitration differ from court proceedings?
Arbitration is a private process in which disputes are resolved by one or more arbitrators rather than a judge, typically in accordance with an arbitration clause agreed upon in a commercial contract. Proceedings are generally confidential, more flexible in procedure, and may be faster than litigation depending on the complexity of the matter. The award is legally binding and enforceable in the same manner as a court judgment under Malaysian and international law.
How are professional fees structured at Juranova?
Fees reflect the nature, complexity, and expected time required for your matter. A clear fee estimate is provided before engagement proceeds, so you understand the financial scope from the start. For certain transactional work such as conveyancing, fees follow a scale prescribed under Malaysian law. Any disbursements — such as land office fees or court filing charges — are communicated separately and transparently.
Do you handle matters outside Kuala Lumpur?
Juranova's primary practice is based in Kuala Lumpur and extends to matters in Selangor and the Federal Territories. For matters in other states, we work with a referral network of trusted legal practitioners and can discuss the most appropriate arrangement for your situation during the initial consultation.
What languages are your advisors able to communicate in?
Our advisors communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Chinese language communication — including Mandarin — is also available on request through members of our team. We want every client to feel understood clearly, and will make reasonable arrangements to facilitate communication in the language most comfortable to you.
